Dramatis Personae

In no particular order, here are the people I'm likely to mention at some point or another, for one reason or another.


Angel - a young mentor of mine, whom I admire for finding herself so early in life and continually growing. I'm hoping to get to know her MUCH better in the remaining time here.

Panda - a young mentor of mine, and owner/handler of Angel. He's the quiet type, and although I cant really get a read on him because of it, I still trust the pair of them as good, honest people. Much like Angel, I'm hoping to get to know Him much better in the remaining time.


Ana and E - a couple of good friends from around here, with some strong emotional attachments to Angel and Panda. Great people, and like most everyone around here, I really need to get to know them better and not feel like a fifth wheel in the process.

Spider and Cross - Both very interesting people, even more interesting for their interest in me. Part of a leather family and (possibly?) poly house, they're also playmates (Dom and switch) and have opened the door for me to learn and grow in a safe environment. I've also gotten Spider addicted to chainmaille and have re-introduced Cross to the jewelry aspect of it. I'm hoping to get to know these guys better as I hang out and just... be me... on their couch from time to time. It's also going to be interesting dissecting myself after any mischief.


Opal - my mentor and good friend from WAY back, also my business partner. We go as far back as early undergrad and she's a good reason why I am much better about a lot of things today than I was.

B (and J) - one of my yearmates in Grad School and his wife. Both fantastically sweet people, although with him, you have to get around the tough outer shell and past the macho-manly act. He really does care for all of us year mates, and I think that if it came down to it, he'd have our backs through almost anything. As long as we weren't idiots to get into it in the first place.

W - one of my yearmates in Grad School, and a housemate. She's kind of an enigma like me, although much more 'adult' and responsible than the rest of us. I'd do almost anything for her, if she'd have the need to ask, but she's a bit more quiet... reserved? (Not shy, but... I don't really know). She's one of few that know who I am and respects me for it... with several out gay/bi sisters and a really liberal household where she's from, it's one of those situations where I think, if I needed to, I could go to her for a bit of support. I don't really like the idea of placing burdens on her, though, 'cause I have a protective instinct here. See? Enigma.

M - one of my yearmates in Grad School, and a housemate with cats. Loveable furballs that they are, although the male is a bit mean. And carries Staph. O.o

'The Staff' - the group that work at my summer employment 2011. This includes Libby, Keith, and a few other names that might come up now and again.

Doc Chris - A huge mentor and inspiration in my life, who I love to spend just a bit of time with. She's an amazing person that helped me develop writing, and through listening, helped develop me. I miss her so much.

Doc - My [female] adviser in all things  herpetology and phylogenetic inference. She's saved my arse in many ways, and I owe her BIG.... and for some reason we are totally alike. Ten years off, I'm not as emotional and she's not as mental, but we're two peas in a pod. O.o

Lup - A good friend from High School and one of the few that I still talk to on rare occasion. Wicked smart, but has social problems that many high IQers have, and suffers severely for it. I love him all the same, despite the distance.

VinceKnight - a name that I'll only curse. Eventually he'll come up, and if he does it won't be with a 'thank you'.

Perk and Emmie - Sister and brother Saint Bernards, one year apart. My parents own them, and they're family
